Welcome To Many Horses Artwork of the Plains
the site devoted to Artwork of the American Plains Indians

About the Artist
Work by artist Michael Schwab can be found in museums and collections throughout the country. Over the last 35 years, his work has focused on reproductions of Native American artwork. Micheal's goal has been to preserve the integrity of Plains Indian art through the use of traditional materials, tools, and techniques. In this way he hopes to help keep some of the traditional methods alive and honor the Native Americans. While remaining faithful to the spirit and design of the Plains tribes, he also draws inspiration from books, museums, historic photos and experiences within various individuals and groups. All work is signed and is accompanied by explanatory notes regarding the use, meaning and symbolism of the work.
